Cont: I did receive a call from the manager again to let me know basically that since I wrote this review they were not going to give me a refund $105.00!!! THIEVES! They stated they "felt like they gave me enough notice"... they gave me NO NOTICE! NO Information about their "policy". They didn't have anything to say that I agreed to this bogus self serving policy. Shame on you. I'll be disputing this with my bank. Terribly disappointed that this type of business is in my community. Terribly sad.
I have had several experiences at spas in the past for massages and this has been the best one yet! The Swedish massage i got here was wonderfully relaxing and actually got the knots out of my back. Will return!
From the moment my mother and I walked into Woodhouse we experienced true relaxation. The hostess greeted us with a smile, remembered that it was my mother's birthday and then led us into the "quiet room" where we waited for our nail technicians. From the wonderful atmosphere to the truly relaxing pedicures we both received, everything was designed to make us feel truly pampered. This was my second time at the spa and my mother's first and we will definitely return. Woodhouse Day Spa is a one of a kind experience.
BEWARE: Do not give this company your credit card number to hold an appointment. They will steal your money without tilling you or getting your acknowledgement of their "24 hour policy". I had an unavoidable issue and missed my appointment. I didn't bother listening to their voice mail because I knew why they were calling, and it wasn't a good time for me to be focusing on anything but the issue at hand. They also sent me and email which is titled "sorry you missed your appointment". I didn't bother reading it either, because I would never fathom that they would charge the entire amount that the appointment would have cost. When I called to ask about it the manager told me it was their policy of which no one told me about nor did I sign anything acknowledging this policy. She said that they left me a VM and an email. After we hung up I listened to the voice mail it she says NOTHING about being charged the entire amount only that there might be a "fee". NO URGENCY in any of their communication. The manager told me that that's why the send an email for a "paper trail"!! So they are full on trying to cover themselves but not their customers who keep them in business. As a business owner I think this is very poor professionalism. The manager told me she would contact the owner to see if she wanted to retract the charges and would let me know. I'll Edit this post with the result of this issue.
Eh, My husband bought me a gift card for a massage. I was so excited. The atmosphere was very calming and very nice. The receptionist and masseuse were polite and professional. However, I know from experience that for the type of massage price and the 60 minute time frame that there's no reason my feet legs arms and hand should have been missed! I was very disappointed. Then when I came out to pay I had some questions about the products they sell because they look like really great products. But the staff that I spoke to weren't educated enough to answer my questions. Not impressive after all. :(
I highly recommend The Woodhouse for a spa treat. I've been to both the Ft. Wayne location and the Fishers location now, and they both provide excellent services, refreshing and relaxing environments, and personal attention to your needs.
