✅Prices are consistently lower than at Kroger with one exception - pop. Doesn’t ever seem to be on sale.
Sometimes I forget this is even here which is a shame because all of my shopping experiences have been positive.
✅There are only specify brands and products carried so if you’re looking for a really specialized brand that you might find in a larger market, it may not be here.
✅Parking isn’t bad - I’m sure that’s a reflection on the fact that it’s a right-sized store.
I went to Kroger with my brother afterwards and had no problems. I've also never had problems with this at any other store.
Ran to Walmart to pick up beer for a family event. My brother came with me, but I was the one making the purchase. Even though I am 27 and had my driver's license, I was denied my purchase by both a cashier and a manager, and publicly embarrassed, because my brother (18) was present. This is not a law, it's not even required by Walmart (I called corporate and checked), it's up to the discretion of the manager. I explained that he was my brother and wouldn't be drinking the beer, but the manager said that didn't matter, she couldn't sell it to me because she'd get fired (false, according to corporate).
Pros:
✅There’s a decent amount of gluten free products but I wouldn’t recommend that you shop here exclusively for gluten free. Aside from the typical staples, they also carry wonderful things like GF Pizza from California Kitchen.
✅Always finding the new and seasonal flavors of sweets here unlike at other retailers. Example: today, it was the return of Kellogg’s Vanilla Milkshake Poptarts!
I really like going to this small store. Reminds me of the old days of going to the grocery store, nothing but food, pharmacy, HBC, and just a few non food products. Produce is hit or miss, but the pharmacy is awesome.
✅A decent variety of non-food related items. Examples: air filters for your furnace, lots of paper products, other typical non-food, crafty stuff
I always visit the deli department. The staff continue to be very courtious and willing to let me sample of a product that I would like to try. Have developed a taste for different meat and cheese types. They are the personification of friendl and helpfulness. Keep up the good work.
Store is always clean. They have lots of deals as well even tho the parking lot is sorta small, I shop here daily
✅Store is kept clean. Thank you, that is much appreciated.
So basically, if you are a parent under 40 with kids, you won't be permitted to buy alcohol here. If you are with anyone who looks under 40 who doesn't have an ID with them, you'll be refused your purchase too.
✅Self-serve checkouts - love these bit specifically because they don’t seem to have issues like ones at other retailers.
