After approaching the driver and being told I would have to wait I pressed the "call manager" button on the entry key pad and never got a response after 20 minutes. I don't think it even works or the manager refuses to return after hour calls (known fact after incident 3)
Renter BEWARE the operation is mom and pop, not 24/7 and absolutely no after hours support.
4) Limited gate hours - till 10 pm. This is not a 24/7 facility. If you are not out by 10 pm the gate codes are disabled and you will get locked in.
The storage units are also very dirty so make sure your items are covered or stored in tubs.
2) The last day of my move weekend I went over to load up my unit and a moving van was blocking the entrance and unloading an entire house.
I finally threatened to call the police and got them to move. Never received a call from the manager.
5) The gate code does not work on occassion - seems to be after storms and with the manager not returning calls or having the main number forwarded to an on call pager you just have to wait till they reset the keypad the next day.
Pressing the "call manager" button does not work either - broken or the "manager" does not respond.
I have stored my parents things here for over five years. The manager knows me by my first name. Whenever I have had an issue or needed a call returned, it happened quickly. I noticed someone complained about not having 24 hour access but I like the additional security that people aren't around my space late at night. I have recommended this place to many and will continue to.
If you rent beware their latches are old AND there is no weekend support as the clerk told me Dedra does not take any weekend calls and does not want to be bothered!
Fair rate (in line with other storage places that I compared them too), auto payment option, secure facility, friendly staff. I have not had any issues at all.
Plenty of professionally run storage facilities in Fishers and I strongly suggested avoiding this one.
My experience has been much different than either of the two listed below. I've always had good luck with management. There is, I believe, a 10 day grace period on late payments. Dedra, the manager, has always been friendly, helpful and very courteous. I've had storage units at this location on two different occasions, both for around a year. I've never had any trouble with pests and the facilities are well maintained. The only inconvenience I've ever experienced was showing up to pay a bill and seeing a 'Will Return in 15 minutes' sign on the door, during what can be assumed from the time was, a lunch break, which in my opinion, is completely understandable.
1) When I rented their moving truck I was overcharged for the mileage. The office person read the trip odometer! If I hadn't taken a picture of the mileage odometer I would have been charged a riduculous amount for what was 10 miles of use.
I never received a call from the manager but the latch did get fixed only because I made it clear it was a security risk and I was upset.
3) I visited my storage unit recently only to realize the garage door latch was barely sliding into the door track and staying shut. My door could have easy been pulled up with a lock on the latch. When I spoke to the office girl (no idea what a door stike was) she informed me there was no guarentee the door could be fixed over the weekend AND the manager Dedra would not take weekend calls to escalate the repair. After going back to the unit and realizing that it had popped back open I called the office clerk and told her to have Dedra call me today. I told her she did not get paid enough for my escalation and that the door better be repaired by Monday or Dedra will not want to hear from me.
Stored a boat trailer here for month or so and they were fantastic to deal with! Will def use again if needed.
Office is incompetent and beware of limited access hours and no after hours response especially on weekends.
