I love the staff at Purrs and Gurrs. I have two little dogs and one of them can be quiet difficult. The groomers are so patient and loving with both of my fur babies. Besides getting great Spa treatments they have amazing treats, pet food and other items.
Let me start by saying this. The salon is nice, and the employees are nice. Having said that, we have been taking our baby girl there for 3 years, and have rarely had a positove experience. I would say that 90% of the time when we pick her up, there is something wrong. I'm not talking cuts, bruises, broken bones, etc... I am talking major irritation, sore paws, and major eye irritation. Our dog is NOT one to cause a fuss, or act out while there. She literally stands on the table in fear and doesn't move, so that isn't the issue.
I gave them a 2 star review just because the staff is very nice, but I would recommend looking into another option for grooming in the Fishers area. This past trip will, unfortunately be our last to Purrs & Gurrs.
They have been very professional and treated my dogs well. After my groomer retired it was difficult finding one I liked. So far they have been a good fit for Tom and Jerry.
The last time we took her was a couple days ago. We dropped her off at 10am and asked that she be cut a little shorter because it is hot, and she has been uncomfortable. No problem, right? 2 o'clock rolls around and still no call. We call 3 times, no answer. We decided to just go check in because we were close by, and wanted our girl! Conveniently enough, the lady at the desk says that she was just getting ready to call us, and that Bella is done. She tells us that they were having phone trouble and apologizes. When she brough Bella out, her face was barely trimmed shorter than it was when we dropped her off, but the rest of her coat was shorter like we asked. Also, she kept turning around and biting/licking around her tail/butt area and would not walk. Something has her very irritated. As I said, this is not stemming from one instance. This is a build up of things.
They do an awesome job on my shi tzu. He can be moody and grumpy, but has never had a problem with the nice groomers here!
it's been two weeks since I took Lili to Purrs and Gurrs where her front leg was injured, she's still limping. Four times I called to find out what happened to my dog, three times I was told nothing happened, the forth time they said "oh yeah, she escaped from the crate twice and might have gotten hurt then". If a dog is hurt badly enough that two weeks later it's still limping, how could they have not known it was injured? I don't know what's more disturbing the fact that I was lied to three times or that my dog could be injured that badly and they didn't notice
There is also a major communication issue. There have been multiple times that we have not received a call after 4 hours has passed (they always say 4 hours or less) and when we call or walk in, they say that she is ready... I can see that happening once or twice, but it has been 4 or more times.
